I use gnus-posting-styles and X-Message-SMTP-Method to setup the reply
for each of my accounts (I use Gnus to manage 3 or 4 email accounts,
including a gmail one). For example, in the current buffer, Gnus has
inserted
I do not have `smtpmail-default-smtp-server' set.
This is the only way that I have found to reliably get Gnus to work with
multiple smtp servers.

I have had a similar experiences in the past. It was caused by the
username and/or servername in .authinfo.gpg not matching. I repeatedly
missed the problem, because I was convinced the problem was elsewhere.
Is this a possibility for you?

When exit summary buffer with 'q', gnus goes to group buffer but the
line the point is in is moved to the bottom of the window. I'd rather it

There are lots of .overview files in ~/News that are more than 10M. It
actually slows down Gnus. I have noticed significant speedup when
entering groups after delete those .overview files.
