This one hit a business here in Spencer and virtually shut them down this week.
It is one nasty little virus, and from what I am told, none of the fixes
worked, a re-image is the only solution once it gets in a machine. The network

Scott - I would imagine that you would give us a heads up if you had
recommended that someone call us about a product. I know I get 2 -3
unsolicited telemarketing calls per day. I'd lend more attention if I
knew they were recommended.

I was just checking prices for someone thinking about attending Interop this
year and have some news!
The current price for Hotel AND Airfare is $297 pp double occupancy ($561
for a single room) I don't think I have ever seen the price quite that low
before so I thought I would pass that on
I was wondering if any other schools running lightspeed have seen an issue with
the state IEP system not allowing users to login to the site. If so how did
you correct this issue?

We use Lightspeed, but haven't had an issue. Are they getting a blocked
page when they try to log in, or what exactly is happening?

Software licensing,
Is there some sort of formula to figure out how many concurrent licenses
you need for a certain number of students using the program?
For example, I have a software that is going to service 4000 students,
but the won't all be on at the same time.
Should I buy 500 licenses?
Ok. Well I tried checking them options and that didn't help me any. I just
got a computer that boots up to our webserver and bypasses lightspeed.

You might have that problem if you are using the block unknown URL or
non-http options. Nobody here has told me of problems with the iep site,
but we have had issues with some of the other state sites. You should be
able to check either the block log or lookup the site or ip address in
the
I have tried all of those. I can get to the site. The issue appears after the
user logs into the system. It displays a error message. If I bypass
Lightspeed then it works fine.
