We are using SmarterMail hosted through the AEA for grades 5-12 at the
moment. Have you looked into Google Apps for Education, and getting all
students set up with Gmail?

We just gave grades 6-12 email accounts last week. We did not get parental
permission though. We are using the AEA's Smarter Mail solution for staff and
students now so they are both in one local spot.
