I saw a relatively new image in the gallery, which seems to be there
for the purpose of advertising, and nothing else. It's not an image made
with Inkscape, or even vector-related.

There's no single book, reference or manual that could be linked to from
them... what was your plan?
Splitting up manuals and references would be okay for me, although I
wouldn't think that's strictly necessary.
