I want to configure a DNS server in a IPv6 network and I want to make query's from my
Windows 2000 host. How can I configure a route to the DNS Server in this host or is
not like in IPv4?
Or else should the DNS send some advertisements to the hosts?
Thanks

I'm using Red Hat 7.1 and trying to configure an IPv6 address but I can't do it. Can
any one tell me where can I get some information about this?
Another question, I have configured a 6to4 router in windows 2000 will the host with
Linux get the routes anounced by the router?

Would'nt it be useful to have dinamical alocation of translation addresses in NAPT
(Microsoft)? Then LAN's that don't need to be entirely connected to the IPv4 world
would only have some IPv4 global addresses for translation and so save a lot of money.
Thanks
ot works ? Can anybody

I've installed the NAPT in Microsoft Release 1.4 and it dosen't work properly.
The routes have been created but when I'm doing ping from IPv4 world to Ipv6 the Echo
Reply (packet from IPv6 world to IPv4 world)is constructed by the NAPT machine like
having "Proto=IPv6". The IPv4 machine who made
I've checked and we are using MSRIPv6 1.4 stack on a Windows 2000. The
translator creates the new pseudo interface but it dosen't creates the route
":::0:0/96 -> IfIndex/fe80::1".
In the registry I have:
192.168.0.0 192.168.0.10
How can I check if it is evrything alright with it?
