I talked to Patrick last night on the phone and at that time he was in a Motel
in Astoria. It sounds like the wind at his place would be over 100 MPH so he
got out and went to Astoria for the night like he did last year. He said that
he would go home after the wind dies down

Visited Pat a few weeks ago. His home should be clear from any falling nearbye
trees. Previous storms have knocked down the surrounding large trees. Has his
new deep cycle battery and a 12 volt light that gives good light. Power out in
most of the Seaside area. The TV news said that

Around 12:40 PM I noticed WWKB with an open carrier, and at least two
stations underneath. One IDed as WTHE, seemingly with a high-energy gospel
music program. I've often heard this station in the early morning without
an ID, so it was nice to finally hear it.

Like Colin, I almost received new-TP audio on the SRF-59 this morning.
During the storm (and finding it tough to sleep), I checked the band around
0930 UTC, and found very nice audio from HLAZ-1566, obviously peaking at its
local sunset. These peaks usually drop out witho
1310 KMKY Oakland, CA heard with IBOC at noon PST 12/03.
KMJ 580 and KGO 810 presently have their IBOC off.

I just talked to Partick and he going to spent one more night in Astoria as the
wind is still 80-100 MPH. He said that he was going home but had to turn
around as the wind was just to strong and could not see the road with the wind
and heavy rain. All power is out along with the phone lines.

Not much time this morning; a quick listen at 1410UT, and the
impression was a better morning than yesterday, though still not
much in the way of second string audios

Reasonable audio (though often battling w/splash): 594,
Powell wasnt referring to people using the subject line as filters.
Powell is subscribed to several lists, ABDX, AMStereo, BC, etc and if
someone who is subscribed to all 3 lists doesnt have/can't have filters set
up and then replies anbd cross posts, the ABDX label will show up in
someones IRCA
It seemed to be a fair morning here,didn't spend too much time at it but
listening at 1530 there were hets everywhere and excellent audio from 1566
and 1593. 1566 still had a good het at 1735 ut. The results are skewed a
bit since the 1000 foot JA beverage didn't seem to produce nearly as much
