I think this would have been a good morning to be at the coast. Many MW hets
up and down the band, especially the upper. Many places I don't usually hear
a het. Actual received audio was poor, and didn't seem to favor Australia,
though 891 with DU talk was my best, at poor/weak level briefly, 11

I'm very happy that you and Patrick like your ICF-S5W's, and hope that
you both will hear lots of fun DX with them. Both were fully aligned for top
sensitivity, and if you can tolerate the congenital image reception issue,
they are a blast to use on the open frequencies.

propagation monitor said it was the best morning for DU signals in several days
(with peaks about 1220UT after I'd thrown in the towel.
