Ultimately, I believe that Gene McKay realized that he was working to a very
limited market. He first tried to market them to DX'ers, which due to the price
and the quality audio features which didn't play well with that audience, he

Back in the 70s, I worked at ABC Radio Network in NYC.
We used McKay Dymek receivers for high fidelity recordings and monitoring.
These units are treasures.
Being in Canada, without AM radio bandwidth restrictions, you can produce some
wonderful fidelity from these.
