Glad to hear that you heard 990 as a Portuguese preacher. Thought I might
be hearing things. I did try to parallel the web audio of Radio Alvorada

music vs. the preaching. There aren't too many other obvious

Now that's very interesting, and explains why it has been so noisy
even on empty channels. On the up-side, I've added 5 new stations to
the log since the auroral conditions started so I won't complain too
much!

CRTC revoked the licence on CKMO's request. But I don't know the
legal/procedural rules well enough to know. Still, I doubt they'd have to
actually keep it fired up. There's a whole licecing process that would likely
have to come first...could take a year...so IMO they should be fully off.
Thanks Saul. They had last week when the weather was good for 3 days. I
wonder why they did not shut it out then? But I guess they will in time.
It just seem odd to have a 10 KW OC with no ID going strong for days
after the station goes off for good.

There are 26 or 27 pips on Mike's mp3. This isn't morse code, and it isn't from
Reloj. I've no idea what he had and Cuba was way too strong here for my
recording to have these pips but I'll recheck to make sure. No idea what Mike
had..I've never heard a station use that many pip-like sounds.

Yes, I just checked and off the NE EWE, I get S 6-1/2 and I can hear the
pops ad snaps in the carrier. But, I wonder how long it will be there?
Walt, can you phase it down enough to hear anything under it?
You know you're right. RR uses ticks anyway, doesn't it?

How long before all the honest broadcasters get run over? Or make enough noise
