KFI's original tower was there before the industrial complex was built. The new
tower was built at the same place as the old and uses the same ground radials.

country. A Franklin antenna consists of two 180 degree electr

Perhaps this station is about to change formats? No ESPN heard; They are
playing everything from Madana to 50's Rock n' Roll. ID at 2320, "WENN 1320

Yup, it was a pretty bad morning. Slight signals 1300-1400UT,

I've been recently wondering about this myself (short-radial efficiency, or
lack thereof), but more from the standpoint of low-power part 15 transmitting
setups. One example I'm thinking of is such that the total length of the
antenna AND all ground radials is 3 meters, and does it make much d

Today's TP conditions were definitely not as good as yesterday and
Thursday. My recordings showed decent signals on 1566 and 1575 at about
1330. Other than that, there wasn't anything to cheer about.

Mark,
I always enjoy your posts. The time and effort it takes to set-up, listen,
break down and process, is a fantasy for me that you make happen. Thank you
and all who are involved for the hard work.

The month ended on rather a low note here. The low end of the
band seemed about the same as yesterday, with audio (though none very
impressive) from Japan on 693, 774, and 828, along with the Korean on
972. The signals on the upper end of the dial though, which had been

Re-listening to the recordings, I have no idea why I labeled the 800 "ID" as
