I don't know about 909, but I think Colin called it correctly on 603
and 576.2RN was coming in a few miles south of him on
both channels with jazz piano at 1339UT. 603 was weak, and delayed
by the better part of a second, but they were parallel.
2RN on 603 has never been heard here
carrier getting healthy at 0514UT, 1089 delivering also.

Quite so Don, was checking to see if the lack of TAs was local, as any
TAs on their way to BC certainly aren't stopping here this evening either.

I checked here after seeing both your reports Nick and it certainly is
pretty slim pickings here - carriers about but mostly very weak and only
visible when narrowing the RBW on the Perseus. So far this season I'd
expect to see this low level of activity almost every and any evening. So
whatever
Oh yea - 1089! No question -- hunkering down for a listen.

Fairly slim in terms of audio today, though there were a lot of
mid-level carriers, particularly in the upper end of the band.

Missing earlier, but came up to fair audio level by 1305 with usual
variety of music.

Todays brief session started at around 1325 UTC --- bit of a sleep in but
had to be out the door off to the University at 1420 -- so some hustle
required.
Seemed pretty average for the 1st 5 or 10 minutes with a mix of 1st and 2nd
tier Japan with hints of DU banging at the door.

Once again it was a potent session for the Japanese big guns but without very
much variety in anything else. Besides the NHK flamethrowers there were good
signals in and out from the usually strong 972-HLCA and 1566-HLAZ, but anything
else outside of Japan had to go against the trend.

Seems like you could check the Netherlands SDR receiver to figure this out ..

I am a bit puzzled. 909 is NHK2 so should never be parallel to 576 and 603
which are NHK1 frequencies. Actually I see no possibility for a parallel
between 576, 603 and 909 - no network uses all three frequencies.

It was more of a "Hey, look, everyone is playing solo piano music this
morning..."
I scanned the PAL and it was pretty obvious that this was only an amusing
Friday coincidence.
Happy Friday!

The SDR recorded the AM band from 1155 to 1350 today, and I'm glad the

After 1330UT, things definitely took a more DU turn here with 3LO
ruling 774 at 1349UT for example, yet moments later JOHR-1287 was
pretty strong also. First impression then is that pre-sunrise
enhancement favored DU, but things were erratic enough to still hear
some Asians.
