I had a much needed snooze in this AM - so I have no Victoria area report

Listened from 1348-1430 UT. Nothing with audio above 1017. Rare at this

Oddly, on southern Vancouver Island, pretty much the strongest
station during live listening was TAB on 1539...horse racing of
course. Fair number of strong carriers spread over the band, but few
seemed to deliver audiodetails later.

Asian results here were slightly different from Dennis' report, but in general
it was another Japanese and Korean big gun show, with most of them waiting
until sunrise enhancement to sound very energetic.
At my 1300 start time the band once again sounded dreary in the predawn
darkness, with
I'll give it a try.

Tuning around this morning (Wed 14 Oct 2015), I happened to catch a quick ID

Is there any research/data on how null depth from phasing two antennas
varies based on the distance (in wavelengths) between the two antennas?
I'm asking because I've got a limited city lot and am also trying to
avoid local noise sources. And I'm also curious as to what the answer is.
I've
Mark Connelly probably has more information on this topic, Aaron, but
what sort of phasing device were you thinking of using, were you
thinking of phasing dissimilar (e.g. whip vs. loop) or similar
antennas, and were you looking to set up a system where the null is

Most of my anecdotal observations conclude that two reasonably good
directional antennas -
Like a FLAG (or KAZ or CONTI) when coupled to a MISEK / LANKFORD phaser
can get null depths over 50db --
and I will stress that with an example:
I have a W/NW flag on ONE i/p of my PHASER and a ALA100 9

After a few days away, it was back to the dials (figuratively
speaking) today. Things don't seem to have changed much, as once again
it was a DU morning (with 1575 Thailand being the only Asian - as it
seems to be on a fair number of DU mornings):

Good levels in French - 730 KHz in deep phaser null. No sign of any carriers on

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
