What started as an optimistic opening at 1300 slumped as the morning wore on..
Had early errands so could only do a couple of band scans at 1300 and 1350.
What seemed like a hopeful treat at 1300 with lots of 2nd tier audio flopped,
it appears, within 40 minutes.
Full analysis later.

Good luck in the new place Michael. Maybe contact Brent Taylor in
PEI for some somewhat local colour. And, is Jean Burnell still in

Colin and Nick's Victoria script played out here in Puyallup as well, as a
halfhearted Asian recovery benefited somewhat from a sunrise enhancement boost
around 1400. The big gun NHK stations came up to respectable levels, although
the second tier Asians barely came out of the noise.

I (and the other readers) can only imagine what it is like -- a visual

Astounded I say!
I am going to get one for more advanced radio "taping" and perhaps LIVE

Greetings from a rainy and blustery Masset. A real change from yesterday's
sunny and mild weather. The Asians were back in full force from 13:30 start
to well past 17:00. All JJ CC and KK everywhere and no hints of DU. Catch

A big difference would surprise me since DKAZ is also good for low arrival

Like Neil, I am curious about the length of the BOG.And when you say you noted
the same with the Wellbrook, do you mean it lost out to a BOG or to a DKAZ?

Point is taken, Neil. The Bog is about 300 deg while the DKAZ is aimed
about 220 deg. So not exactly a perfect A B comparison. I noted the same
years back using the twin Wellbrook arrays. Walt

Hmmm, rather than a Go-Pro, one could save quite a bit of cash when
DXing with an SDR by downloading BB Flashback Express,

The resulting quality seems better than the average Youtube video also.

Colin called it correctly at 1300UTquite a lot of action until
the bottom dropped about 1320UT. Then around 1420UT, a lot of
things came back. 1566 was actually noted on a recording as late as 1613UT.

Reminded of 1200' beverages that NHP and I put up a couple of times at Jordan
River on Vancouver Island in the early 90's. Walls of TP's /DU's that resisted
fade out until around 3+ hours after LSR.
