[IRCA] TP 13 Oct Victoria version.

Yesterday was a transitional morning all right; I'd say transitioning back into the bucket, but hearing several Star outlets from New Zealand is never usual here, so, only mildly awful. Interesting that Bruce wasn't reporting any NZ from Grayland... pretty darn good audio (all of it

The Japanese vanished again today, but they left behind a reasonable selection of DU signals, so not a bad morning really. 567 4JK Julia Creek, AUSTRALIA Talk by a man at 1327 576 2RN Sydney, AUSTRALIA Talk by a woman at 1332 585 2WEB Bourke, AUSTRALIA John Denver

My vote is with Nick and Colin. A predawn band check at 1245 revealed that the Asian carriers were anemic at best, and not worthy of further investigation at a local park. Good luck to the guys at Grayland, though. Gary DeBock (in Puyallup, WA, USA) > On October 13, 2018 at 8:27 AM Nick

I'm at Grayland this weekend with Chuck & Tom.  As is usually the case, it was a much different story out here.  There were lots of TP's to be heard, with carriers on nearly all of the 9 kHz channels.  About 80-90% of the stations were from Japan including many of the low powered NHK outlets.

Can't say that it improved much as time went on; in fact the DU level may have declined. Sounded like another ionospheric blanket has arrived. best wishes, Nick At 13:46 2018-10-13, R. Colin Newell wrote: Currently tucked in bed? Maybe stay there. Very subdued this AM - 1335 UTC. 1333
