ombining any figure eight loop and whip does work well. Instead of a
phaser, you'd simply need a potentiometer on the whip side of the combiner
transformer. A regular phaser could also work, though most of it wouldn't
need to be turned. Moving the loop seems the better way.

Try using metal screen as what is used in windows. Lets air through but
blocks noise. Also, see if the cables in/out can be wrapped in a toroid.

Has anyone taken a look at the CC Pocket Radio? Covers AM-FM-NOAA Weather.
The interesting part is that it has a 2.5kHz IF filter and will tune down to
1 kHz rather than 10/9 kHz as some do. Seems cheap enough at $59.95

It does look good, but I don't know yet if it will cover the AM band.
Something that covers .5-2MHz at a minimum would be required. I'll
investigate that further. Many of these seem to shift off to military use

How many DRM MW stations are noted in Europe and Asia? Has anyone actually
heard them as DX? I happened to read that the Excalibur receiver can be
licensed to decode them and I'd wondered if anyone had tried live or with a

Two problems on the WWV report. First was that the FiOS at my office went
down for 18 hours. Second was that NOAA changed the text on the WWV file
that required a change in one of the scripts to import the information.
