1) It doesn't sound like my local 960 WELI which our household listens to
daily... I've been there and our family has been featured on one of their talk
programs within the past year. Yes, WKCI is their FM sister
FYI: Through WELI (next door) null, CFFX slightly off 180 degrees angle on
other end; was able to record cw and sweeps at the 0200-EST leg of test. Will

Funny, WCXH-780-ME DX Test heard here in SW CT: Overslept the start time, I
awoke to 4:47am on the VCR (thts right, kids, I said Video Cassette
Recorder!) Last ten minutes is better than nothing, but couldn't hear anything
through the mix, so went back to bed and left running the

I have arm-chair level recording, and there were two SS stations. Wouldn't you
know it, just when you want an ID, signals fade into the mud, hiding behind
WABC [ chicken ], but I was able to hear twice the station chimed jingle,
both at TOH, sort of like a taxis horn or short hat
...and a tip o'the hat to you, too, Jim... especially noticing more tests where
reports can be sent in direct. Great idea involving the station with the
confirming and QSL process! Way it should be... re: good will.

That didn't make any sense... if the point was a PC is cheap enough to
obtain today... uh, may I mention... a cassette player is even cheaper -
about $5 used, $19 new and yes they are available. Anyone who is a QSL
managaer, in my opinion, should be able to handle ALL formats. In

The tones on 1020 may actually be WIBG.
I recorded them testing back on Oct 14, around 0100 EST, at various levels
of strength (from faint to blasting KDKA off the freq) and I'll assume some
antenna directions as well.

Perhaps a wee-bit out datted, however..
that station that decided to only send verifications via e-mail only has
actually decided, in my opinion, to say they do NOT wish to bother to QSL at
all. One MUST remember what the HAM QSL is all about, as well as the
HISTORIC QSL of the early days.
