Yes, it was nuts; I stand by this morning's assessment. Big signals from
unusual stations like 711, 639 etc. Little signals from Lord knows what, but
quite a lot of Chinese. The north Flag was really producing today.

A messy morning, plenty of splash, erratic carriers, maybe some gold
in the murk, but not enough time to dredge. Seemed to be mostly low
band Asians, with the emphasis on the big guns.

Thought I'd give the morning another chance, so checked the
recordings. Yes, there were erratic signs of life, but not enough
to get very excited about.

Nick,
That's a very impressive signal on 1098, and certainly nothing like I've
ever heard on the frequency.
By way of reference, the 2013 WRTH does show Radio Taiwan International

Grayland last weekend, with Bruce including a mention that it really sounded
like 1.2 MW. Only CNR11 would have a signal like that, BTW, this is the ex

Awfully glad that the TA's didn't amount to much tonight...there were
serious recordings from this morning to go through. Conditions were
pretty reasonable around 1400UT, and lasted until after 1500UT for
some stations, then things went downhill until around 1530UT when
several stations came
