ive found are 1400 parowan, ut, 1450 in dst george ut and a 98.5
translator.. the 1400/1450 are news/talk but the translator isn't owned by
the folks who own 1400/1450.. so thats not it.
i'm kinda stumped so far too.

So 1400 in Parowan is back on the air? I know that they were dark for a long
time. Got to see their tower driving up to Salt Lake City for the 2007 IRCA
convention. I should monitor 1400 and see if I get a similar tri frequency ID
out of one of the Utah stations there. Ms

Todd, I'm guessing what you had wasn't from St. Charles, but rather from St.
Cloud, and that the CLs were KNSI, phonetically, very similar to KLSI. Been a
very good night on this end with the K index at 4. Two new graveyarders

I knew KLAM was 24/7 now. They have been 24/7 for quite a few years.
They were locally owned by a guy that ran a repair shop in Cordova I
believe back in the 60s when I QSL'd KLAM.

I'm wondering if anyone has heard this station. I notice that the 2006 NRC AM
radio list doesn't list 1450 as an active station. However, watching the
Discovery Channel's excellent series about the Alaska Crab fishery clearly
shows KIAL 1450 on the air at the beginning of one of the program's
KIAL 1450 is 50 Watts into a longwire antenna per a special authorization
theyve had since 1977.
They have been unable to find suitable land to build a tower. The 4200 watts
was a CP they got last year but haven't built yet. They hope to file for an
FM license in the upcoming NCE FM Window.
