If you use an outside antenna, I suspect you
might get more bang per buck by trying to
minimize the noise delivered down the feedline,
either through common mode chokes and/or antenna isolation transformers.

I built a filter a few years ago and posted the pics on ABDX. I'm not sure if
it made a difference but I figure it doesn't hurt.

The other day I was looking at the catalog from DX Engineering and saw a
