Heard KMZQ this morning at 1401 ut with "Q 106.9" so it looks like they are
talk most of the time but on Sunday morning they are R&R.

KMZQ is now back to talk as I heard "Nevada's Number #1 Talk Station AM 670" at
1417 ut than back to talk. So it looks like they are all talk on weekdays and
some Rock on the weekend. Will check this next weekend to see if they have any
Rock. And yes they hyad some great music!

Bill,
Thanks for the confirmation that you also heard KMZQ playing R&R.
One thing I noticed that there was no commercials or news heard during
the hour I listened to the station. A very good selection of Rock music too.

I also heard KMZQ this morning while I was trying to hear TP's. And yes they
had Rock music with "106.9 The Q plays all the hits" I was going to post this
morning but for some reason my DSL did not work but its now working again.

Tuned 670 this morning at 8:20 AM PST and heard R&R music. ID as Q 106.9.
Kemp Broadcasting owns KMZQ 670 Las Vegas and KGVQ 106.9 Overton, NV.
Clicked the link below for the news talk site and got R&R on the listen
live feature. During the week the listen live feed was Lars Larson.
Maybe ro
670 KMZQ Las Vegas barreling in here with "Sweet City Woman" and the
like at 1555PST with no sign of KBOI. However, the frequency
exclusivity didn't last long, and by 1600PST ID time, it was taking 2
second dips under KBOI. Sensed before but this is the first actual
logging.

After several "almost" logs, got a clear ID from KZMQ tongiht, as it
came up even with KBOI at 2000 EST with ID for 670 AM and the FM in Payson.
Thanks to Bill for pointing this one out a while back.

As Pete noted in the late 1990's KIRN paid KBOI to change from ND to

Not a trace of them here in southern San Diego yet. Not surprising, as I'm
something like 140 miles SE of Simi Valley.

Not sure why there is any confusion on this. Everyone should take a
look at www.radio-locator.com, punch up KMZQ and KBOI and then
compare their night patterns. They will not be in each other's face
at night. It is my understanding that sometime during the past three
years, KBOI reached an

The FM they simulcast on is licensed to and has a tower near Payson, AR. To
say it barely rimshots Phoenix would be being kind.

I kind of thought this was a little close spaced to the Denver 670 at
618 miles. Especially with the "lobe toward Chicago" that Glenn
mentions.
And, if I understand this correctly, they are simulcasting an FM in
Phoenix 256 miles from the AM. Strange.

According to the maps, KMZQ has a fine signal in Las Vegas and vicinity.
That "minor" lobe you speak of covers Las Vegas and everything within 50
miles.
That 600 Watts does decently as well.
I have a friend headed to Las vegas sometime in the next few weeks, I'll
have him check it out!
On Sun,
NRC AM Log 2008 says its 3/600 watts, U4. Looked up at FCC, the plots for
the CP, now on the air, show daytime pattern has major lobe at 335 degrees,
minor lobe in opposite direxion 155 degrees, pulled-in nulls at 75 and 235
degrees, which are roughly (exactly?) toward Chicago and LA. Nightt
KMZQ has been on the air for about a month or more I think, and yes Both
99.3 from Payson and 670 Simulcast.

Its look like KMZQ-670 Las Vegas and KMZQ-99.3 Payson, Arizona are simulcast.
They use "The Q" and "only on The Q"

Bill,
Thanks for the heads up. I will check around LSS. The NRC log lists them
as new. I might have a shot at this.
