A few more ghostly Asian carriers appeared this morning than yesterday but it
was far from a decent recovery. 594, 1053 and 1134 all had weak heterodynes
around 1410, but they fizzled pretty quickly. Unlike Colin I didn't have
multiple DU's, but a rare (and weak) DU heterodyne on 531 around 1415
I could smell the ionospheres indifference to my desire for better radio
last
night before I tucked in -- and the threat of R2 D2 G2 radio blackouts
sealed the deal like a swig of Jack Daniels and a sleeping pill.
I would occasionally open my eyes around 1300 UTC, chuckle and then fall
back asleep
Asian signals made a halfhearted recovery this morning, led mainly by the
Japanese big guns and 1566-HLAZ. During peak propagation around 1430 there was
fair audio in and out on 594, 693 and 1566, with a few weaker gasps from 747
and 828. None of the second tier Asians were close to audio here,

Hello All,
Despite the latest solar tantrum three low band Japanese big guns did make the
trip this morning, with one of them reaching a fairly good level. The Koreans
and Chinese were completely missing in action, however-- and even 738-Tahiti
stayed away, despite the solar shenanigans.
Hello All,
It was another morning of potent low-band TP propagation here, with vibrant
signals from both the big gun and second-tier Asians. Once again there was a
definite surge of the Mainland Asian signals on 603 (HLSA), 639, 648 and 657
late in the session, along with a mix of HLKG
he winner every time!

Gary,
Thanks for confirming my reception of China on 603 kHz. Your many Chinese
receptions this morning gives me some targets to shoot for in the future. I was
surprised that VOR on 648 had a carrier with no modulation. Right before 1500
a tone was heard for 5 seconds on and 5 seconds off.
Hello All,
Just when the Fall Season seemed to be winding down, it came up with one of its
best China propagation mornings of the entire year. 603, 639, 738, 936, 1017,
1035 and 1044 kHz were all in and out with fair to good audio, while around
1438 (during peak sunrise enhancement) 639-CN

Asian "big gun" propagation this morning was pretty solid, although
there certainly were no late-session Chinese fireworks like yesterday. A far
more moderate sunrise enhancement seemed to boost the Japanese signals
