I haven't been sending out too many MW QSL reports lately, but this one
came back in less than a week! This is MW QSL #640 of 930 sent, so my
response rate with follow-ups is about 69%.

Hi All,
I just received a very nice and colorful QSL card (reception report
acknowledgment) from HAARP for my submission of a reception report of
their Moonbounce test on the Perseus. On 1/20/2008 I received both
their transmitted signal and the returning bounce signal on 7407.5
Khz.
Congratulations on earning your first QSL. I hope you get many more in the
future.
Also, where is your location? I had real difficulty trying to hear it in
Michigan although many out on the west coast heard it easily.

I just received a QSL card from NDR 972 Hamburg, Germany. Took about a
month, with 1 IRC. They included a schedule and two sticky note pads. I
find that German stations are the most reliable verifiers.

Jim,
Great going. I QSL'd them back in the 90s and they were quick to respond
too. I have had excellent results with the Germans from the 60s on.

Patrick,
The Universe is cruel! I bust my bumpkins to get a verie from some
station and don't get no reply. Then I DON'T report to a station
(in the normal way)
Charlie,
There are a few of us that go to about any length to get that QSL. It
gets in your blood, I guess. After over 42 years and nearly 3,000 MW
QSLs, I just don't give up very easily. The 100% chance of a reply lies
with walking in the door to ask for a QSL. I have never been turned down
that
Pat,
Who do you address the report to? In the old days I use to send it to the
chief engineer. But now with engineers spread around at different stations
this method is probably outdated.
