--- Begin Message --- Perhaps I should have stayed tucked in as well. A few weak carriers was all that was heard in CO this morning. 73 and Best of DX, Craig BarnesWheat Ridge, CO On Saturday, October 13, 2018, 7:46:39 AM MDT, R. Colin Newell wrote: Currently tucked in bed? Maybe stay

Can't say that it improved much as time went on; in fact the DU level may have declined. Sounded like another ionospheric blanket has arrived. best wishes, Nick At 13:46 2018-10-13, R. Colin Newell wrote: Currently tucked in bed? Maybe stay there. Very subdued this AM - 1335 UTC. 1333 U

I'm at Grayland this weekend with Chuck & Tom.  As is usually the case, it was a much different story out here.  There were lots of TP's to be heard, with carriers on nearly all of the 9 kHz channels.  About 80-90% of the stations were from Japan including many of the low powered NHK outlets.

My vote is with Nick and Colin. A predawn band check at 1245 revealed that the Asian carriers were anemic at best, and not worthy of further investigation at a local park. Good luck to the guys at Grayland, though. Gary DeBock (in Puyallup, WA, USA) > On October 13, 2018 at 8:27 AM Nick Hall-P

... which is a great indicator that on a GREAT day, Victoria, B.C. Canada can be like Grayland on an average low day - What Bruce is describing below is Victoria to a tee on a GREAT day... And this morning sucked here... :-) On Sat, Oct 13, 2018 at 11:52 AM Bruce Portzer wrote: > I'm at Graylan
