The NOAA forecast that I'm hearing on 1660 is from Eugene/Springfield. At 3:22
AM PDT the two Spanish
stations on 1660 are on top of the channel. No sign of the TIS station.
Current temperature here is
67 degrees or 19.8 Celsius.

Unknown TIS station on 1660 is being heard again this morning mixing with KTIQ
Merced, CA
NOAA broadcast on the TIS station. Time 6:15 AM PDT. (1315 utc) TIS still best
on Sky
wire loop. KTIQ signal is S-9+25 db. 6:21 AM PDT TIS signal briefly over KTIQ
religious
programming.

According to the FCC website, there are 5 TIS transmitters in Oregon on
1660.
Two are operated by the City of Sandy
The other three are operated by the OR Dept of Transportation and are
all located in the Eugene area.
It's probably one of the latter ones, although with just NOAA

Thanks guys for the information on my unknown TIS/HARS station. Sandy, OR is
51 miles as the crow flies. Eugene is 136 miles, both are South of me so using
the KIWA loop won't help to determine location.
It's going to be in the mid 90's here today and we don't have air
I drove out to Sandy, OR and found they are not the station I'm hearing on
1660. Their program was a 10 minute loop of PSA's from the CDC (Center
for Disease Control) messages from the State of Oregon and some PSA's in
Spanish. They call their station Sandy Community Radio. Signal covers

I wonder if any NOAA ODOT are still operating on 1660 along the coast? I
can barely hear one off the SW EWE, but nothing off the Eastern Beverage
during the day, today. I will check a bit later. Hot here too. Out here,
it hit 96 and Astoria was 92. For a time, Seaside was nearly 100. So

At 9:19 PM PDT I'm hearing two Spanish stations (KTIQ KXOL) on top of 1660
kHz. TIS/HARS with NOAA
broadcast be heard underneath the two. Today here the temperature was 93
degrees with Sundays forecast of
88 degrees. Only cooling down to 67 degrees tonight. Hope you can hear

No sign of the TIS as yet. I tried to hear Sandy with the beverage also
and not a peep. There is one weak one on 1660 off the SW EWE, too too
weak to ID. What weather forecast are you hearing, or can you tell?
At 5PM is was 95, 5:30 at 96, then by 6 PM, it was 90, 6:30, 84, Now
