I have a few questions about iText before I make a commitment. I realize
the tool is free, and that is MUCH appreciated. I am considering getting
the pre-release book, however, so I can learn in greater detail how to do
what I want to do. Few questions:

If you are using this on a webserver, try putting the itextsharp.dll in your
winnt/assemblies directory and then, in your c# source file, import what you
need (using iTextSharp.pdf;, using iTextSharp.text;, etc)

I have been the same problem as your description.
When I change the library to 5.02 version, everything is working now.
