Does the field you have on your page three happen to share a name with a
field on any of the other pages? This may be an elementary question, but
it's the first thing I thought of.

document upward so that some of the original content is virtually

Then after this (half way down the page) I want to add a high-level object
PdfPTable using document.add(table).
But the table is beginning at the top of the page, and is overlapping the
column text.

I must be missing something then. The text in my template does not wrap
to the next line if it is too long. It simply cuts off at the end of
the template. Also, I must not be using the rotation correctly.

I think you want to grant the AllowFillIn permission. Table 3.20 (in
the version I'm looking at) of the Pdf spec lays out exactly what each
permission flag means. You can cross-reference those with the
PdfReader source file

What's wrong with the getInstance that takes a string? Can't you just use
Image.getInstance(file.getAbsolutePath()); ?
