I'd be curious to hear if you solve this one. I had the same issues with
a PVR-500 on a KT-266A, and solved them with a cheap new MB (SIS-741).
The Via board had previously been working fine with a PVR-250 for some
years.

Let me start by stating that I'm using a VIA KT-133 based motherboard,
and having RTFM I'm well aware that this is a potential source of
problems. Still I'm hoping someone may be able to shed some light on
the problem I'm having (other than "get a new motherboard" which may be
my only option..
Hi,
After much pain and anguish, I finally have X working on TV-out through
my PVR-350. :)
However, for some time, since I first managed to copy video0 to video16
and see some fuzzy TV being output from my PVR-350, I've noticed that
after two-three minutes of TV output, my hard-disk starts
Yes and no. But I'm working on getting scaling to work properly. If I can
get that done it may help this. On the other hand it might make no
difference but at least I can get you my latest code then in a working state
and we can go from there.
Sorry but I'm really close to having it working so jus
John,
I was wondering if you have any idea about our problem...
I'm sure you are busy, thanks for all your work on the X driver!

Bryan, out of curiosity what module options do you use?
I don't have any module options at all actually. I just `modprobe
ivtv` and it works like a champ.

I haven't. Is the option detailed in the archive somewhere?

Hi,
I am using the version 0.2.0-rc3e of ivtv drivers with kernel
mentioned in the subject. But I get kernel panic when some recoring
starts. Sometimes I get recording without any problem. Though the same
ivtv driver version is working great with 2.6.10.1.737_FC3, I was just
wondering if anybody

Ok. Maybe i should write something in the Wiki on this

Anyway
here goes with a brief explanation of the board and
what is happening.
There are 2 output devices (mpeg decoder & osd). The

Well it was all working till I rebooted.
I needed to add "options cardtype=2" to my /etc/modprode.conf as the card was
seen as a PVR150
I have recorded a film OK and after a reboot the card is not initialized.

Oh that's right, you were the one with the firmware load problem. I
run ubuntu with the 686 version of that same kernel, with the exact same

This looks very familiar. I'd this problem a long time ago.
This means you are very close
Try the following for PAL:
