I'm not sure if this is what you are asking for, but I hope it helps.

Hut,
Make sure the RemoteAddrInNetwork setting includes the ip addresses
(or a mask like 192.168.0.*) for the computers you are trying to send
mail from.
e.g.
mailet match=RemoteAddrNotInNetwork=127.0.0.1,192.168.*,[some other ip
you need] class=ToProcessor

Steve,
Also look in your temp/phoenix.console file to see if you have any JVM
errors. I had a problem where the server VM was crashing on RH 7.3 with
1.4.1. I've moved to 1.4.1_02 and haven't had any problems.
Check the archives on March 1, 2003 for more info.
Good Luck,
Eric
Steve Caum
Noel,
This is the default kernel on the released 1.4.1 (not _01 or release
candidate). I also had problems running James on Windows with 1.4.1
with the server VM. I'm usually very quick to upgrade JVM's, but I was
a little behind on this box.
Just thought a little FYI was in order for
(or /etc/rc5.d):
#ln -s ../init.d/james S98james
James should start on boot.
To manually start or stop james:
#/etc/init.d/james stop
#/etc/init.d/james start

Noel,
Thanks for the quick response. I most likely will use the mailing list

Alice,
A step by step guide for enabling MySQL database usage in James is
availabe in the Out-of-the-Box Community Edition.

While the cause of this problem was totally my fault, it might be nice
if there was way to stop James from running out of control in the
following situation.
I recently upgraded to the latest cvs code from the cvs code from a
month earlier. I diff'd the config.xml's and since there were some
the server VM.
Probably James just happens to hit a bug in the server VM.

I've been running a CVS version of James 2.1a1 from about August 1 for a

In the root processor in your James.conf.xml file, after the following

add something that looks like this...

I was waiting for it to happen again before posting, but this seemed like a
good time to put my 2 cents in.
