If you are new in Java I think that in order to obtain strong basics you should start with Java course http://www.javapassion.com/javaintro/
After this course you can continue on J2EE course.
During both courses you can use both Eclipse and NetBeans. However all exercise are presented in NB
i am new in java but i hav a passion on it i am reading many book on java
the problem i have is how do i choose the best technology ,where to start
.which IDE to use (eclipse or netbean) or just use ANT
