I have found out the problem,
now I include the c:\jdk1.3\bin in the very beginning of my "SET PATH" line of the
autoexec.bat, and now it works! Thx for everyone reading the previous message and
sorry for wasting your time...
plus, OpenGL 1.1 is not needed for me (Because I use Windows 98?)

Sorry for asking the installation problem again since I have seen
there are tons of this question in the past...
But I followed the steps in Windows and still can't make the things work.
A) Installing the packages
1. install JDK1.3
2. set path to include c:\jdk1.3\bin (where I installed JDK)

after upgrading to ibm's jdk 1.3.0, i have got troubles using
java3d 1.2 under redhat 6.2 (which worked just fine with jdk 1.2.2,
though).

The newly released Java3D 1.2 is producing an intolerable amount of flicker
on my Matrox Millennium G400, although Java3D 1.1.2 is fine. I have been
trying to find an answer to this problem on my own, including reducing the
color depth of my monitor to 256 colors, and trying different combinations
The 1.2 version of Java3D contains some new features I would like to use -
unfortunately the 1.2 Alpha1 version is missing most of those. Could
somebody at Sun please tell me when a more 'complete' version of 1.2 will be
available?
