At eCircle we're using Groovy and Grails rather heavily. Our core module is
plain java, but there is a big number of side modules which are
Groovy/Grails.
I have seen Grails and RoR at my previous employer (Sabre), but again: not
in the core apps and (unfortunately) not the projects I took part in.

It's certainly going to be very interesting for me, since I do bike a lot
;-)
Currently I use a Garmin e705 - I've used a WinMo and Android for tracking,
but it's just not the same battery life and sturdiness.
Garmin lasts up to around 15h, WinMo/Android can do 8-9h of gps tracking.
