Bring up your keyboard manager then make sure you are focused on the default file. Tab once in to the list of available functions. Then start typing mute until you hear mute synthesizer which will have no keystroke assigned. Press control A and give it what ever keystroke your heart desires. S

No, that only _stops_ JAWS during extended speech. What he wants is to actually keep JAWS from ever speaking. It's possible to assign a keystroke to this (it's a toggle), but that has to be done through Keyboard Manager in the Default file. As David also pointed out, it's possible to keep JAWS

In IE 6, this was easy. Once I turned on the history display, all I had to do was to press ALT+V, arrow to the Explorer Bar submenu, press RIGHT ARROW, then find History and press ENTER to uncheck it. However, this isn't working with IE 7 unless I first completely close it down and restart it.
