I have XP and JAWS 6.0.
I was following the tips and Tricks suggestions under the PC maintenance
heading.
When I performed the Check Disc , heading number 3, I only put in the edit
field chkdsk.
When I hit enter, the function seemed to start right away without giving
me the option to re-start.
Please let me know if this is not a JAWS issue.
I have JAWS 6.0 and XP home and DSL.
I have no router.
After suffering with a disconnect problem for over 6 months, I was told by a
technician that my problem is in my computer.
My symptoms are that I will be disconnected from the internet for no
I have already done this and when the B.S. guy came out, he replaced the
original modem.
Thank you.

I'm surprised that I had to make those changes.

Thank you for this help.
I do have DSL not cable.
Without looking, I know I have more than 256 m RAM. Probably 384.
I am not very experienced with computers. I don't even know how many
accounts I have.
I am the only user and just have one e mail address. How do I figure out if

I have JAWS 6.0 and XP home.
For months I have been having trouble with my DSL.
I have had the Bell South people on the phone and out to the house a couple
of times and nothing seems to help.
My problem is that I consistently get kicked off of the internet and OE, as

Hi guys;
This has been very helpful.
I am not sure why , or what putting favorites in different folders would do.
My impression is that favorites are just web sites that can be accessed
quickly.
What are some suggestions on putting them in different folders?
How would this be helpful?
Thank you
I have JAWS 6.0 and XP.
In I.E., I can't organize my favorites in alphabetical order.
I did it once but do not remember how.
I have played around with every item in the menu bar but can not find the
correct way to accomplish this.
Thank you for any help.

I tried this but could not find the sort by button.
While in I.E. I hit the menu bar to get to favorites then hit the
application key. This didn't work.
So, I hit on organize then hit the application key.
Every way I tried, I could not arrow or tab to get the sort by button.

I tried using the book marks in Word and the instructions worked well.
If it wasn't mentioned, when closing out of Word, you must Save the changes
in order for the book marks to stay.
Thanks again. This really helped

I have JAWS 6.0 and XP.
My goal is to read a few pages of a document each day.
One book is in I.E. and the other book is a document I down loaded to My
Documents , in Word.
Each reading is over 125 pages.
My question is how can I mark where I leave off each day so that I can go to
that
trouble with?
