Hi All,
I had an unusual problem which I hope that someone can shed some light on.
I am using Jaws latest version 8 on Window XP SP2 Home.
I was putting my computer in hibernation when the window error sound
was heard on my speakers. I had to get my wife to look at the monitor
since Jaws quit

Hi,
No, it doesn't. It only costs if you don't call using the 800 number.

Hi,
What I ment is that no, JAWS tech support doesn't cost anything, but if you
call using the number to FS in Florida, the only cost you will have is the
cost of a long distance call. The 800 number is free just like all toll free
800 numbers are.

Jeffrey

Hi Donny,
Here is a link to Weather Underground's public adviseries page on Hurricane
Dean; once you go passed all the links you should be able to find the most
recent advisery statement, and above that a lot of links for more
information including text information.

I don't think so as long as you have a JAWS serial number.

Hi,
I would just fix it. It won't hurt anything. I have had a lot like the one
you are describing, and fixing them doesn't hurt or effect anything in any
way.

It's in your start menu. Just hit your windows key and type a D. Tab to,
set default programs.

I might add that your start menu needs to be set to classic in order to just
the letter D for default. Otherwise you will need to up arrow up to it
after pressing your Windows key.

Hi John,
I followed up with another Email saying that the problem was solved
with a patch from Microsoft. When I added the memory chips, I did get
the message to activate Jaws which I did do. Jaws was working fine.

Hello everyone,
Thanks for your help...I was able to get it fixed! I wouldn't have easily
guessed that my answer was in default programs...I was kind of wondering
what that item was there in the start menu for but figured I'd find out
eventually.
Thanks again,
Michael

Hi Folks,
In office 2007, I am using Outlook. I am using Jaws 8.0 with the June
update on a computer with windows xp pro.
Jaws will not read many e-mails from companies like the New York Times, the
Wall Street Journal, etc. The PC cursor will not read in say all mode.
By arrowing down
Have you tried maximizing the window and then doing a screen refresh? I don'
tuse outlook at all but see if that helps.
