Hi,
I'm confused. I thought avg was not free as of May 30. So now is it free
until December and do you get updates like we get now?

The free updates stop this weekend, but the pro updates if I understand
correctly go to the end of the year.

Avg is free, even if you upgrade to version 8. It is my understanding if you
have the paid version of 7.5 it will be supported until dec, 31, but not the
free version 7.5. With the new update F S put out, version 8 free of AVG is
very workable.

Now that puzzles me that the free version of 8 is workable but not the paid

Personally have no idea I'm still struggling with the paid 7.50 and this is
my first time to use AVG and I'm trying not to be regretful...

It is by no means perfect, but it seems to work ok with the most recent jaws
update.

RJ, So is the paid version, I upgraded over the weekend.
I noticed no improvements what so ever with the new update from FS as of
5/22/2008. I am using the latest version of JAWS, AVG 8.0.93, and am running
on Windows Vista. What changes has this update brought for you?
Thanks,
Michael

Have you checked that you still have status bar set to view in Microsoft
Word?
You can check this by going to Tools, Options and tab around the View tab
until you come to status bar. This should be checked.
The fact you are getting the start menu read out is peculiar for this key
combination.

Hi:
It's been my experience when using Outlook that if you do choose everything to
be presented in text form you will have trouble replying to those meslsages that
were originally HTML. You won't be able to tell what you're writing and JAWS
just says blank blank.

Hi Alex, David and all who coached me on this,
the problem is finally solved. I found the status bar option in the view tab
under options in the tools menu; it was unchecked for some reason; once
checked, JAWS started behaving as it should.
Many thanks for everyone's help

Hi Derek,
The message rule is checked and I have done as you have suggested to no
avail. I have removed the rule and reestablished it several times with no
luck. It is probably some kind of computer quirck that can't be explained.
Thank you for your response.
Mike
