Hi all,
Thank you to everyone who answered my question. and especially to david, who
told me the encoder was on the jaws users programs page, because I couldn't
find it on the goldwave site.
I have some other files I want to convert. They are in the m4a format, and
this format will not play on
Flor, I think this is a red herring. I don't think the cookie comes into
play until you try and log in. My understanding is that Christie's problem
is when she first goes to the site , which leads me to suspect it's got
something to do with the sound clip which plays when you first go to the
site.
Alex,
I didn't reckon about that one. so if that's the problem, well ... it
should
also be occurring with other sites that have audio intros.

Hi Victor,
Thanks for your reply. Some of the files are converted, but I have about 12
folders with files in the m4a format. I ripped these songs from cds using
itunes and they turned out in the above format. Gold wave cannot convert
them. Does anyone know of a program that will convert the m4a
Flor, That doesn't necessarily have to be the case. It may be the case that
different sites use different methods to produce their introductory sounds.
Cheers

Hello Andrew,
I am not sure about batch conversion, but you can convert one file at a time
to the MP3 format using ITunes.
1. Open ITunes and then press CTRL with comma to bring up the preferences.
If the keystroke doesn't work use Alt-E and even if JAWS doesn't speak use

Hello gang. I'm running Vista home premium, jaws 9 and outlook

gotten any email response, but the person on the phone couldn't figure out
what I was talking about. I'll get some emails, PCH is one of them where
You will need to do an alt H followed by an x and then a v. I'm not sure
why Jaws doesn't read those types of messages, but this is a common problem.

Open up your configuration manager and then hit control+shift+D to change to
your default configuration manager. Then hit alt+S and then the letter Y.
Tab over to where you hear say line with pauses or without. That is what I
believe you are looking for miss Becky.
