Perhaps the Outlook Express command of Alt D, will still add the email
address to your address book in Outlook 2007.

Hello Holger,
Hello intelligent people in the list,
I have problem that needs your expertise please!
I have a text file in word doc to edit, which is in a form format.
I tried paste special and copy it into unformatted text, but the words came
out jumbled, not in a proper sentence!
Any ideas how to fix this
Hello Holger,
If I was you I would try the check disk with the /R switch first.
Reformatting might or might not make the drive work right. It really can't
be diagnosed properly by Email. If you are not able to run the check disk
with the /R switch from a command line then you can run it
Dear List
I have access to UK Eloquence voices which are very good but Sight and
Sound assure me I did not get them with Jaws which is a bit confusing.
The voices show up under a category called Speechworks and, in addition to
the normal Shelley, Glen Reed voices etc, there are UK voices
This version of Eloquence, which is SAPI4 compatible, comes with the latest
Kurzweil 1000.

hi rus the only solution I have found in this case is to use adobe to
convert the document to text it is usually the case that the person who sent
it to you scanned it in this instance jaws can't convert it to text as the
scanned image is a picture of the original I hope it works for you I have
thanks. I will try it. The I: is for the hard drive? I am good with program

If the document is a picture or image file, that would explain it.
Otherwise, it depends on the conversion method you used. Persoanlly, I have
access to adobe 9.1 or the Nuance PDF Converter. Sometimes, the same
document will convert with one program and not the other.

Hi Russ,
I have run into this problem several times in the past and following the
steps below saved my butt on these occasions. You will need Open Book
installed to use the steps below.
1. After Adobe opens the file and Jaws announces Empty Document press
Alt + F for the file menu.
2.
Hello Holger,
I thought in your original message you said that the drive giving the error
was labeled as the I drive. If not then use whatever the letter is that is
assigned to the problem drive instead of I.
Take care.

Hi,
Sorry, to start off with bad news here. Most likely, the pdf is a
scanned image or 'picture' of an original document. because it has been
scanned, JAWS cannot read it. It is unlikely that it will convert to
text via Adobe Reader. You probably need an OCR program to 'print' it
or OCR
When I encounter a PDF document like this which indicates its an image I use
K1000 to convert it to text. Sometimes it works but sometimes it does not.
Maybe open book, or Omni page can do this also.

Hi All,
I was looking at a few new computers this evening. The one that I kind of
like is a 64 bit machine. Will my current Jaws 10 run in that environment? I
was told that some software may not run on that computer.

The easiest way to see if this has print, since it may be a snapshot file
and not exactly a document file is to run it through either Kurzweil or Open
Book's printer. In Open Book case, it's the Freedom Import printer. Don't
know about Kurzweil.

Hi
As I recall there were 32 bit and 64 bit versions of JAWS available on
the freedom scientific website. That is all I know.
God bless,

Hello Friends,
I am running XP-Home with JAWS 9.056.
Where can I purchase A T T voices for this version of JAWS that I have!
I have just joined Bookshare, and I do not think I will enjoy reading many

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Dear Alan,
Here's the sales page for nuance to purchase the real speak voices, it looks as
if that's what you want. I paste the contents, but see there is also a
phone number to call , available for US citizens, which you may prefer. Just
read further down.
