Actually that has been the same for a long time if not always. So that's
nothing new at all.

If this is an attachment you are trying to read then you will need to press
escape. By default Word opens attachments in a reading layout mode.

I have a feeling that JAWS somewhere has a command to take a table's
information and put it into a Word document, but I can't remember it or find
it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? If you do, would you send the
command or the procedure?
Many thanks! Vicky

Hi Victoria,
Try the 2 suggestions below.
I assume you are using word 2003.
1. Go into the table, go to table menu with alt+a, and then to select/table.
2. Go again to the table menu (alt+a), arrow down to convert (or letter v)
and select table to text.
3. Press enter and you're ok.

Not actually. It is fitting, however! I must not have been paying enough
attention to the spell check suggestion. I do remember it flagging his
name. I probably assumed it's suggestion was correct. Sometimes, I think I
should enable repeat keys, since my one hand typing is so bad. I often

Odd, the results show up fine for me. The one thing I'm noticing though is
that the links seem to be spread over 3 separate lines.
Where I'm having a lot of trouble is how jfw 11 is now interacting with

Thanks very much for your helpful response! Unfortunately, I neglected to
mention that I am using 2007 and your suggestions didn't work for me.
Still, thank you again for taking the time to write! Vicky

Hello Vicky,
I wasn't sure from your message if you want to convert a table to text or
copy an entire table from a HTML document to word. If you want to convert a
table to text in Word 2007 start by making sure the cursor is in the table.
When you are working in a table there are two tabs
What do you mean to do, exactly?
Do you mean to turn tables already within a Word document into text? If
so, and i do not have office 2007 to verify, here's what you do:
When you are in the table you wish to convert to text, use the following
sequence of keys;

I have not tried this yet on my Netbook which is where the problem existed.
