Hmmm, maybe it can be done. There are free translation programs like Win
Trans and NFBtrans, not sure if they're still available but they're probably
still in use somewhere. Kurzweil, and possibly Open Book can do the basics,
take your average text file or Word file or whatever it will open and

I'd need to get openbook first though.
And quick question:

DO I require a serial/paralel to USB converter?
If so, how much is that cable usually?

George, in addition to this, if you have Openbook on your laptop, you can

Jorge,
The first part, I don't know. Unless others have used the Blaver with Win
7, I don't know if your driver would work. I think Freedom Scientific took
over the Blazer printer as part of the Blazie Engineering demise.
There are some free Braille translation programs out there. WinTrans

Two quick questions.
First, I have a small Blazy emboser that I used to use with my Braillelite that

My question is can I use it with my new laptop?

I don't have Duxberry or any of that.
Any free ones?

Dave,
The only problem I've found with IE9 is on Facebook. When you try to send a
message, IE9 wasn't showing the "send" button, but IE8 and Jaws 12 does.

Ah, that's what I suspected. Users on this and other lists have reported
that IE 9 does not work well with JAWS 12. You might want to consider
rolling back to IE 8 until the glitches are worked out of IE 9. Update

Update Checker is not a stand-alone program, but rather a web-based service
from File Hippo that compares the versions of all freeware programs

Hi all,
There is a program that I used to use called Update Checker. Unfortunately,
Update Checker doesn't work with Jaws 12. My question is this. Are there any
plans to make Update Checker and Jaws work together?

Look for any toolbars in Internet Explorer (view menu) that sound
unfamiliar to you. If you find such, try to disable it in Internet
