Hey Gang,
I'm running XP, IE8, and jaws 13.0.638.
Ok here is the problem.
Every time I open up a webpage it is minimized.
It doesn't happen when I open up documents, my email, just on the internet,
so what do I need to do to fix this?
I went into the menu bar and checked out the zoom, and it is at
while I agree that many have the technical know-how to run a list
like this one or do tech support on site as you do, many do not have
the interst or patience to do the follow-up you do. this is what I
appreciate most about you. so triple cheers to you as our list daddy! *smile*

It could indeed be scripted as I did do such a thing a number of years ago
before JAWS provided us an option of it's own.

It could probably be scripted, in both cases,
although it might not look elegant, might still work.

In jaws 10 and up, there is an option to change the default soundcard
that jaws uses thru the utility menu.
The above option has always been available but required manually
editing the default.jfg file.
you change the default sound device windows uses in the sound applet
in control panel.
You're welcome!

I sort of figured that, I just tried to point out that there quite a large
number of people who could manage such a list if they put their mind to
doing it. Never the less I do thank you for the compliment.

Ok, I looked at changing sound card assignments, I think it was called but
what you did is something I already knew and wasn't looking for but after
speaking with others, I don't think a hotkey type of situation would do such

Your pages are awesome, though. Great tips and tricks up there.
The only real reason I'm the man as you say seems to be because I started
