I’m using windows 10, jaws 17 and word 2016 I have a word document that opens in protected mode and I can’t seem to read any text. jaws keeps announceing ‘blank’ is the protected mode preventing me to read the document, if it is how can I remove protected mode? Email is golden!!! Kevin Lee For

Hello Kevin, Yes, it is the protected mode which is preventing you from reading the document. To remove the protected mode on a per document basis: 1. Open the document that is in protected mode and when you hear JAWS announce this document is in protected mode press the f6 key on your keyboard.

Ok, I did it again. I posted something but googled it, after I sent my message then it worked after I found the answer. I just had to reset the clock! My daughter had it on 2014 at 12:00 so when I switched it, that message disappeared and no message!

Hi Walt, I've had it installed for a lot longer than 30 days & it still works just fine. The install went smooth with Jaws reporting the progress throughout the installation. I went into preferences after the installation & made the same adjustments as I did in Adobe XI & it works just fine
