[JAWS-Users] Using JAWS 12 with Word 2003

2011-05-11 Thread Keith Hinton
Hi all. I've read through the JAWS helpful hints for Word, but am using Office two thousand three here on this computer. I work with Office 2003 in some cases. JAWS by default still seems slow in Word 2003, and I haven't tried to customize Word itself. What changes do you folks suggest making in Wo

[JAWS-Users] How well does JAWS work from users of IBM's Lotus product?

2011-05-12 Thread Keith Hinton
Hi all. I use JAWS with Microsoft Office. But what exactly does IBM Lotus include for JAWS users, and does JAWS stay constantly up-to-date with version3.x that appears to be the latest release? How well does email work (if a client is provided) etc? Does it work better (or less) than Microsoft Word

[JAWS-Users] Is Word 2010 a requirement, or is 2007 still supported via Microsoft in general for use with JAWS and other applications?

2011-05-21 Thread Keith Hinton
Hi all. I'm experiencing problems with office 2003, that make me think I need to update it. So I'm wondering, if Word 2007 (woops) I meant office, is sitll okay to use? Or is the latest and greatest the best, seeing as I don't have money for 2010 at the moment. Thanks a lot if anyone can suggest an

[JAWS-Users] JAWS Authorization Question

2009-12-05 Thread Keith Hinton
I was curious how much a Dongle for JAWS costs? Frequently, I find myself in front of several machines, or having to reformat my boxes every so often (due to testing various operating systems) etc. In all cases, I usually have to end up either resetting my ILM license every so often, or whatever. 3

[JAWS-Users] Skype versions prefered with JAWS

[JAWS-Users] Upcoming update of JAWS 11

2009-12-07 Thread Keith Hinton
This message is intended for Eric specifically, but I'd like anyone else to jump into this. I submitted an issue recently with JAWS11 (actually it effects JAWS10) as well, and the issues appear to only be in 64-bit in particular. >From what I could gather, JAWS 11 when working in the latest releas

[JAWS-Users] GMail.com log-in username edit box not readying properly with JAWS

2009-12-12 Thread Keith Hinton
This is weird. But while most things in GMail read just fine, I've been noticing the "Username Colon" edit box, doesn't read. JAWS used to say "Username Colon edit." But now, it just says, "Edit." So, I have to custom lable and type "Username:" Then, it reads that edit control just fine. Yes, I use

[JAWS-Users] Regarding the issues in GMail regarding the username form feeled

I managed to force JAWS with that custom lable to read the text, and surprisingly, it's using my lable, even though the text username appears a line or so above the edit box. I just wanted taht old functionality back where JAWS was reading the proper edit box lable. I expect JAWS to honor an edit b

[JAWS-Users] Script compilation instructions

I apologize for a repeat, especially if this was already answered. I noticed a user asked about how to recompile a script with JAWS. Press insert+0 to open the Script Manager with JAWS. Then open (or if already in the GoldWave program) press control-shift-C (I think) or press control-S to recompil

Hi, First, it has been my experience that some programs work under 64-bit machines (despite them being 32-bit) though there may be some exceptions. You also asked what the difference was. Basically, it comes down to this: 1. 32-bit operating systems apparently (not just Windows) as this also appli

The subject says it all, other than the isues specifically. This occurs in all versions of WinAmp with the 64-bit builds of JAWS only. Why, I do not know. Also various text selection issues (sometmies saying no text selected when it is) or failing to speak when control-A is pressed in Skype while
