Hi,
I'm a little confused but if you are trying to open an attachment in outlook
2003, it seems to work if you maximize outlook first, then press insert a
and then enter. Not sure about outlook express.

Hey gang,
A wise friend of mine told me that by pressing Insert-A in Outlook that I
can quickly move to the attachment in an email. I've tried this multiple
times, but I've been unable to make this work. I'm using XP, JAWS 8 and
Outlook 2007. Any help and/or information would be beneficial.
Hi Mike,
Just to let you know, this only works if the message is actually opened in
it's own window.
The keystroke will not work if you're viewing the message in the list pane
of Outlook Express or Outlook.

Try pressing shift tab one time while in the open message.

In Outlook 2007, it's been my experience that the insert a will not work.
Also, pressing shift tab one time will highlight the attachment, but
pressing enter on it will not open the attachment. I have to press my
application key and then press enter on, open.

Just thought I would send the information about opening attachments in
outlook express, because quite frequently people say outlook when they mean
outlook express.

No problem Debra. I just wanted to clarify it for him since he had stated
he was using Outlook 2007. I'm sure others could use that info also.
Take care,

Victor, are you just talking about an open message rather than a closed
message in the message list view? If not, I'm not sure what you mean by
open in its own window. Thanks.

In Outlook 2002 and 2003, Insert-A does move to the attachment field for me,
but I have to press a left arrow before pressing Enter or the attachment
will not open.
