Mike and Flor, OK, let's go back over this. I am using JAWS 11 with XP and IE 8. I was the person who first mentioned configuration manager, html options, links. As far as I can tell, none of those options stop JAWS from saying the word "link" when you arrow over a link on a web page. There

I just did a test and did a select all on a web page, then cut and pasted it into notepad, not Word, and the word link did not show up anywhere. Don't know what that would do for your formatting, but it might be a start. BTW, the "say link type" checkbox seems to be for mailto links, ftp links
