I had considered the dictionary manager method as well, but the word link
might be not the best word to never hear. Meaning it could show up in
text where you might need to hear it. That's always the danger with the
dictionary manager.

You are definitely correct. I thought unchecking 1 of those boxes on

Links page would do it but, I was wrong. I even played in verboscity
settings & couldn't stop Jaws from saying " link ". I have never tried
Flor's suggestion

As far as I can tell, none of those options stop JAWS from saying the word

This solution won't be much better than my notepad solution, but you may
give it a try and see what happens. Rather than just paste with control-v
take a look at paste special. I don't have Word on this box, but I did an
experiment with WordPad. When I did a straight cut and paste, I

it into notepad, not Word, and the word link did not show up anywhere.
Don't know what that would do for your formatting, but it might be a
