Almost forgot, have you actually confirmed with sighted assistance whether the start menu is actually opening or not, and Jaws just isn't reading the highlighted item? Try changing your say all setting to all, or highlighted by doing the keystroke of insert+S, and see what is actually happening

Hi Folks, Just my opinion, but providing another keystroke for opening the start menu only provides a bandaged approach to the problem, and doesn't really address the underlying problem of why the start menu won't open in the first place. Have you checked your settings for Jaws and windows? Ha
