I said in a previous message that although the startup excel issue was
fixed ctrl o still brought up backstage view. However, I've been playing
around with the backstage view and I think I got the hang of it
somewhat. It's a learning curve but I will get there. (smile) At least I

Hello Leonard,
If you use the keystroke of Alt with CTRL and function key 2 you will get
the familiar Open dialog box.
