You can configure a startup servlet in web.xml file. The init() method gets
called during application startup and destroy() when application is shutdown.

I just tried out the new itext-functionality. It's great. But there is one
problem. Seam always uses .seam as default extension - generated pdf-url looks

I am a client but maintain the Messaging Queue on my end. Provider is remote

I ended up getting around this problem by modifying /etc/hosts to resolve the

If the bind address is 0.0.0.0, then the server should be accepting input from
all ip address (both 1.2.3.4 and 192.168.1.201). Since using
http://192.168.1.201:8180 works, I would say that the server is reading the
bindings file correctly.

I dont think the ports are in use, since I have tried to use ports-01, ports-02
and ports-03 and the same error is reported. So it boils down to the fact that
something is preventing to open those ports on the external IP (1.2.3.4)
whereas on the internal IP (192.168.1.201, its fine)..

I have several stateless EJB's. Each one provides a service, so it seems to
make sense that the specific code is in each bean. I had @EJB references to
some of these beans and some of them were circular.

As I already mentioned in a former post I am not quite happy with the way Seam
generates the extension for the generated pdf-file.
Is it possible that Seam would redirect to a "simple" pdf-file? The name of the
pdf-file could be defined in the link from the content-page.

I think it's clear how to integrate my own company's ideas of user/group/etc
with the engine, but it isn't clear to me how to handle the authentication, etc
with the webapp. From what I see, it uses its own UserBean class in both the

Jamie, what I was saying is that:
1. If you don't use http session clustering, you can remove tc5-cluster.aop
from your deploy directory and use your own jboss-aop.xml. That should work.
2. If you do, you will need to include tc5-cluster.aop in your classpath.
