thanks for the reply;So we changed the server.xml and a few other files. Jboss
is being run as part of a BPM product.
Yesterday we dug into it more and found the solution, there is internal conf
file of that product which had the ip of the machine configured incorrectly !!!
So we commented

That's a JVM error. Are you using the correct JDK/JRE with JBoss? The logs show
that it's a 64 bit version of the JDK. Is your system too 64 bit?

1. a SAR detects the file is present
2. the SAR will then send a JMS message to the MDB
3. the MDB receives the message and then parses / imports the data creating
Probably you aren't creating your durable subscriber until after some of the
messages have been sent, so clearly those messages will be unavailable to
consume.
This would also explain why it only happens on the first run, since on
subsequent runs the durable subscriber already exists.

If the server has run out of memory, it wont respond to shutdown request
either. You need to send a termination signal to the JVM process that runs
jboss.

The reason you don't see documentation for this in the JBM documentation, is
the MDB pooling stuff is a part of JBoss App server, not JBoss messaging. It's
not part of the JBM project or code.
I believe this is documented in the app server documentation somewhere. There

I am in the fun position of trying to get a webservice that ran fine under
JBoss 4.0.3sp1 to run under JBoss 4.2.2GA. The problem I am having however, is
that when a servlet (I believe) tries to access the web service it throws an
error saying

When you deploy to JBossAS (by deploy, I mean copy to server/default/deploy),
the app server will automatically start the application.
By the way, the application in question must be a Java EE application, not a
Java SE application.
Examples of Java EE applications include web applications
I'm working with the default deployment directory.
It is possible, for example, to have an exploded .war directory at some place
other than the default directory? For example, have it on C:\\my_web_app?
