Hi i'm studing how to integrate a custom user validation application on JBP
2.6.5, and i read about User,Role, UserModule, RoleModule, MembershipModule.
My doubdt is: if i define my personal modules, will they be used just for
authentication or even from portal user and role management portets? W
i think i found the problem: i'm using jsf 1.2 architecture with jsp and i
think it is not possible into portal 2.6.4/2.6.5 because of the application
server (on tomcat jsf 1.2 and jsp are enabled only on 6 version).

when i worked on Portal 2.4 i used myfaces library and extended
MyFacesGenericPortlet class to enter the portlet lifecicle (doView,
processAction...). Now i would like to do the same with portal 2.6.4 and
richfaces but i can't find the class to extend so i have to integrate myfaces
however

i tryed something and find out i can set the machine name (the same used in -b
option for starting portal) in
jboss-portal.sar\portal-wsrp.sar\portal-wsrp.war\WEB-INF\wsdl\wsrp_services.wsdl
file, in sobstitution of "localhost" and all seam to work correctly.

is not possible to open a page maximized cia configuration file in portal 2.4.x
(i don't know in 2.6.x, it was requested but i'm not sure)
You can do it setting the window state in processAction method using

i had a similar problem, you probably have extended the UsersRolesLoginModule
class that is wrote to use a properties file to get the users and their roles.
If you want to continue to use that class you have to reimplements tow more
methods like this:

i'm using 2.4.1 portal so i'm not sure it will be useful for you. What i did is:
- altered conf/login-config.xml (not the one under jboss-portal.sar)
configuring my application-policy
- altered portal-server.war\WEB-INF\jboss-web to use my new application-policy
- put my jar library under portal l

if nothing change on portal 2.4.x (i don't know on 2.6) is not possible to
define via configuration file the window's portlet mode.
I had a similar problem and solved defining a new layout having the maximized
mode only and setting that layout for the page including my portlet. In that

well, i customized some parts about the user creation but it seams to not be
possible to customize the profile user data.

I have solved a similar problem after some tests, implementing my MyLoginModule
that extends UsersRolesLoginModule and in this redefined some methds:
