We currently have multiple applications deployed under JBoss 4.0 with differing
deployment requirements. We have been unable to move to 4.2 for this reason.
Hopefully after the new year, we can move toward this, but in the mean time,
I'm stuck in the land of legacy.

I'm assuming from the previous postings that you've seen this issue before?

I can't duplicate it on a regular basis, thats the troubling part. It seems
completely random. How difficult would it be to jar up the EntityConverter
used in the latest seam builds and pull it in as a separate tag like we did
when we used ec:convertEntity?

I'm using SEAM 1.2.1GA and have all of a sudden run into random errors
selecting objects out of a drop down list. It doesn't have all the time and
seems very random.
I've attempted to enhance the equals() method and the hashcode, but nothing
seems to matter in that regard. When I debug the En

Is there a solution to this issue for those of us that have to stay with
1.2.1GA for a while longer?

I just moved my datasource from Oracle to MySql and am getting this issue now
as well. The only change made to get this error was the change in a the
datasource.

Yes, that's how I fixed my error. I pulled down the latest CVS and saw that.
What I don't understand is why it was enabled by default? What advantages does
it bring, and why did it break my old deployments?

I was receiving this in SEAM 2.0b1.
I had to add:
transaction-management-enabled="false"
to the core:init
as well as:
to my components.xml file. This has me nearly up and running again.
I'm not clear on why yet though.

I will attempt to pull the latest from CVS and run the tests again. Does
anybody have a simple demo application that shows this working? I'd love to be
able to say this is simply my environment or a configuration. I can only show
it not working.

So, it's been awhile since I last worked on this issue, but I'm not back on it
and using the latest jBPM 3.2.1
Just to clarify,
Yes, this is a SEAM/jBPM application. All seam is doing in this instance is
creating/starting the process. As far as I understand, everything should now
be internal
Yes, this is a full seam app with jBPM integration. I will start posting in
the seam forum as well on this issue. I would have a hard time seeing that
this is a seam issue since I initially had the issue when using notify="yes"
and the mail templates.
I'll post over there and cross reference
I've dumped the notify='yes' for an event that fires on "task-assign" so I can
do more debugging. I've verified that taskInstance is not being injected, but
I can inject processInstance into my POJO in my seam app. Inside
processInstance, I can dig down in the object to get the taskInstance an
Should this be added as a Jira issue? I didn't find anything in there
regarding this.

Has anybody had success in working with the notify='yes' attribute? If so,
could you post an example?
Thanks,

I've run into an issue using jBPM 3.2 and above. I was running jBPM with 3.2GA
with all the various fixes to getting the new mail component working, but was
still running into issues. I'm now running the latest CVS version as of
5/25/2007 which still gives me the issue.
